Supporting Safer Churches
The Sutton Legacy Project
Helping churches strengthen safety, preparedness, and resilience.
Every church should have the opportunity to protect its people, property, and ministry—regardless of budget.
The Sutton Legacy Project helps remove financial barriers that may prevent churches from accessing professional risk assessments, safety resources, training, preparedness planning, and other services that strengthen their ministries.
Honoring a Legacy of Faith, Generosity, and Stewardship
The Sutton Legacy Project is a faith-centered charitable initiative established by Ranson Risk Advisory Group, LLC, to help churches strengthen their safety, security, and risk management practices, particularly when financial limitations prevent them from obtaining needed resources.
The project was inspired by Mr. Sutton and his wife, whose lives exemplify the biblical principles of generosity, faithful stewardship, and service to others.
For many years, Mr. Sutton has been a trusted mentor, dear friend, and brother in Christ to the Ranson Risk founders. His example as a faithful husband, grandfather, mentor, and generous giver has left a lasting impression on both men.
The Sutton Legacy Project is their way of honoring the Lord while recognizing Mr. Sutton's enduring example of what it means to faithfully steward God's blessings for the benefit of others.
Faith Advisory Council
The project is guided by a five-member Faith Advisory Council, consisting of three pastors and two laypersons.
The council meets monthly to review available funding, evaluate church assistance requests, and vote on proposed projects based on demonstrated needs and available resources.
The Ranson Risk founders participate in an administrative and advisory capacity without voting privileges, helping preserve independent oversight and accountability.
Financial Stewardship and Distribution
The project is designed to work with the National Christian Foundation (NCF) Tampa Bay to facilitate charitable giving and the distribution of approved funds.
Under the proposed arrangement, contributions would be administered through an appropriate NCF giving structure, with the Faith Advisory Council reviewing church needs and recommending assistance. NCF would retain responsibility for approving and distributing charitable grants in accordance with its policies and applicable requirements.
Supported projects may include church safety assessments, security improvements, surveillance systems, emergency preparedness, volunteer training, and other risk-reduction initiatives.
Our Purpose
The Sutton Legacy Project seeks to turn the biblical example of generosity into meaningful action—helping churches protect their congregations, steward their resources, and continue their ministries with greater confidence.
Protecting People. Strengthening Ministries. Honoring a Legacy of Faith.
Protecting the People Who Serve and Worship
Churches face many of the same risks as larger organizations but often operate with limited staff, volunteers, and financial resources.
The Sutton Legacy Project helps eligible churches and faith-based organizations improve preparedness, reduce preventable risk, strengthen safety, and better protect their congregations and communities.
What Your Generosity Can Support

Your Generosity Can Make Safety Possible
